Child Safety Standards

1. About Yapme
Yapme is an anonymous, location-based social app that allows users to post short text messages visible to people nearby. Yapme does not support the sharing of images, video, audio, or any other media — all content on the platform is text only, limited to 100 characters per post.
Yapme is strictly an 18+ service. Users must be at least 18 years old to create an account. We do not knowingly permit anyone under 18 to use the App. If we discover an account belongs to a person under 18, that account is terminated.
2. Zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation
Chidurala Technologies has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) in any form. This includes, but is not limited to:
- Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) of any kind.
- Any content that sexualises, grooming, solicits, or facilitates exploitation of minors.
- Any use of Yapme to solicit personal information from minors or to arrange contact with minors for unlawful purposes.
Such content and conduct is strictly prohibited under our Terms of Service and violates applicable Australian and international law. Violating content is removed and responsible accounts are terminated.
3. Reporting content in the app
If you encounter content that violates these standards, please report it immediately using the in-app report function:
- Open Yapme.
- Long-press the post you want to report.
- Tap report post in the action sheet.
- A prompt titled "Report this yap" will appear, asking "Why are you reporting it?"
- Select the most appropriate reason — for child safety concerns, choose "Inappropriate or Sexual Content" or "Harmful or Hateful".
- The report is submitted and you will see a confirmation: "Thanks. Our team will review this post."
You can also report concerns by email to support@yapme.com.au.
4. How we handle reports
We review reports and take action where we determine a violation has occurred, which may include removing content and suspending or terminating accounts. We do not guarantee any particular response time. Moderation decisions are made at our sole discretion.
Because all yaps are automatically and permanently deleted after 24 hours, reported content that is not removed sooner will be deleted at that point regardless.
5. Cooperation with law enforcement and reporting authorities
Chidurala Technologies complies with applicable child safety laws, including the Online Safety Act 2021 (Cth) and the Criminal Code Act 1995 (Cth).
Where we become aware of CSAM or credible CSAE activity, we will:
- Remove the content from our platform.
- Preserve relevant evidence as required by law.
- Report to the Australian Centre to Counter Child Exploitation (ACCCE) — the Australian Federal Police unit responsible for investigating child exploitation — via accce.gov.au/report.
- Report to the eSafety Commissioner, Australia's statutory online safety regulator, where required under the Online Safety Act 2021.
- Report to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) CyberTipline where applicable, including where content involves persons in the United States or where international reporting obligations apply.
- Cooperate with lawful requests from law enforcement authorities.
